I used to have this friend
Or, I suppose she is still my friend. I remember she was so beautiful and funny and sweet, but she hated herself. She had such low self-esteem, and it was so impossible for me to fathom how someone so incredible felt so bad about herself. I remember back then, when I used to think it was so absurd. I didn’t understand. But, now I do. Strange how life works, isn’t it?
